The railed gas block attaches to the barrel in place of the standard front sight. Its bolt on design doesn't require the drilling and pinning like a standard front sight.
Barrel size: .750"
Material: .7075 T6 aluminum
Coating: Type 3 hard coat anodize
Picatinny rail height: .250" below the height of the rail on the receiver. Also knows as a "rail height gas block."
Q: How do I install the gas block?
A: Unfortunately we don't offer instructions on how to install the gas block and strongly recommend that it be installed by a gunsmith.
Stag seems to be the only one making this style gas block anymore. Love using these with a knurled handgaurd and iron sights. Great machining, fitment, and the sling mount is awesome too. For use with high profile iron sights to achieve co witness. I hope you all continue to make these!
My favorite gas block easy to install looks great.
just what i needed
Perfect fit everything lined up like it was supposed to. I DO RECOMMEND
Much good and bad is said about aluminum gas blocks on steel barrels. I mounted one of these on a lightweight 16" BCA barrel and a sig romeo 5 red dot. I shoot only up to 10 rounds at a time. At distances of 25-100 yds, there was no shift in POI. I plan on building another lightweight and will use another one of these blocks. Thank you.
