Marketing Manager

We are excited too for this opportunity to establish a visionary customer-centric leadership and a complete refresh of the Company as we open our new headquarters in Cheyenne, Wyoming. One of our primary goals will be to establish a strong marketing presence in the industry through rebranding initiatives, new product introductions and creative marketing solutions.

Establishing the marketing position is a first priority for Stag Arms, Wyoming. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing professional to have full scope responsibility for all aspects of marketing including branding, communications and customer service.

The Marketing Manager position is responsible for the direct management and control of the Stag Arms brand and marketing strategy; executing campaigns that align with company initiatives to reach revenue goals. This position will initially be hands-on, focusing on revamping our website (Big Commerce) and launching new products. Responsible for the strategy, direction and day to day management of the marketing department, creative team and customer service, as well as the gatekeeper for all Stag Arms related content both directly and from external partners. You will be able to build your support team, through direct hire or contractors, to accomplish the scope of work.

Responsibilities

  • E-commerce: Manage various internal data sources and web analytics tools to enhance customer experience and assist to increase web presence of company and monitor all websites and recommend changes required
  • Create an enduring brand message that results in increased sales, brand loyalty and improved market share
  • Developing a creative plan focused on consistent content creation and campaign execution
  • Oversee marketing and advertising activities to ensure consistency with brand strategy, acting as the gatekeep for all external facing content
  • Highlight areas of weakness or conflicting messaging and realign to the brand
  • Seek out new marketing opportunities and brainstorm growth strategies that fit with the brand and maximize opportunities for growth
  • Monitor market trends and competitors’ activities – keeping a finger on the pulse of the industry
  • Collaborate with industry partners to create engaging campaigns that reach new audience segments
  • Collaborate with the product team to plan and create successful product launch campaigns
  • Spearhead major sales events, including planning promotions, implementing campaigns and reporting results
  • Assist in the overall marketing strategy development in line with company objectives
  • Manage the yearly marketing budget, including allocating funds, tracking ROI and reporting regularly to executives and investors
  • Manage social media participate and communication
  • Work to resolve issues that may impact the Stag Arms brand reputation
  • Manage tradeshow activities and attend on behalf of the company

Experience and Education Requirements

  • BS in Marketing/Business or equal experience
  • 2+ years proven experience managing a marketing department and budget
  • Proven experience driving and tracking ecommerce sales and revenue
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and other ecommerce reporting tools
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including a strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Experience managing social media channels for a notable brand
  • Experience dealing with high level customer service related issues

Compliance Manager

One of our primary goals will be to establish a strong marketing presence in the industry through rebranding initiatives, new product introductions and creative marketing solutions.

Accurately and diligently managing compliance in the firearms industry is imperative to our success. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fresh team of professionals as we begin our Wyoming journey. The Compliance Manager reports directly to the President of Stag Arms.

The Compliance Officer maintains is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable firearms laws, regulations, policies and procedures. The Compliance Officer is the designated go-to person for questions and answers related to compliance by other employees in the company as well as the liaison between the ATF and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand all applicable federal and state firearms laws and regulations, stay on top of changes
  • Perform various internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable firearms laws and regulations. Track deficiencies discovered during audits and work with Management in remediation.
  • Prepare forms required for compliance with government firearms laws and regulations
  • Oversee the Company’s internal serial number inventory process (Serial number Acquisition and Disposition electronic record accuracy)
  • Manage bound book software (currently using AIMI) and support research, selection and implementation of new software as required.
  • Investigate and ensure the correction of firearms records discrepancies
  • Directs cycle count/audit activities
  • Performs routine security reviews to insure adequate security of controlled items
  • Makes recommendations to Management regarding changes and improvements in operations to achieve more effective and streamlined compliance
  • Conduct firearms serial number traces for ATF: Administer the serial number trace function. Be the liaison between BATFE trace center completing all traces and maintaining records of the traces. Maintain a relationship with the Tracing Center.
  • Respond to the ATF and other law enforcement audits and request for information
  • Oversee scrap verification and destruction process
  • Report all scrapped NFA’s to NFA Branch of the BATFE
  • Perform reconciliations of NFA registrations per the ATF records with the company’s records on a regular basis. Perform any research and remediation necessary
  • Follow up on any mis-shipped or suspected duplicate firearms. Make corrections within the system. Contact customers; understand and interpret shipping documents, following the process to final disposition.
  • Assist in development of policies, procedures, standards, and directives, and in communicating these in written and verbal presentations.
  • Performs annual site compliance training to relevant employees
  • General support of business operations as required or needed.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • 2+ years Firearms industry experience.
  • Knowledge of ATF firearm regulations and compliance requirements including but not limited to bound book records, serial number traceability and required reporting.
  • Experience with compliance audits and remediation procedures.
  • Experience with FFL and variance application process.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, including a strong working knowledge of Excel
